The camp commenced with an inspiring inaugural session graced by distinguished guests including Dr. Govind Sharma (District Coordinator, NSS), Mr. Praveen Kumar (PK Mast), Transport Officer, and Dr. Radha Sharma, Principal, SMPGC. The opening ceremony featured the lighting of the lamp, Saraswati Vandana, and Lakshya Geet, setting a motivational tone for the week-long program.
Throughout the camp, volunteers actively participated in a wide range of educational, social, and skill-based activities. Sessions on health awareness, hygiene, naturopathy, and acupressure promoted preventive healthcare and balanced living. Informative presentations on Indian heritage monuments highlighted the importance of cultural preservation, while CPR and First Aid training equipped students with life-saving emergency response skills.
The camp also emphasized Gandhian values, encouraging students to reflect on truth, non-violence, and social harmony through essay and slogan writing competitions. Practical training sessions such as Fire Safety and Emergency Response enhanced disaster preparedness, while Heartfulness Meditation helped volunteers maintain mental and emotional well-being.
Community engagement formed a key part of the camp, including a visit to Prem Niketan Vridhashram, Durgapura, where volunteers interacted with senior citizens and spread compassion and care. The final day focused on the theme “Youth for Digital Literacy,” raising awareness about digital safety and government platforms like UPI, DigiLocker, and digital banking.
The camp concluded with a vibrant valedictory ceremony graced by Sh. S. P. Bhatnagar, Regional Director, NSS, who appreciated the dedication and service spirit of the volunteers. Cultural performances, the presentation of the camp report, and the felicitation of volunteers marked a memorable conclusion to a week filled with learning, service, and personal growth.
